Javier Milei supported Manuel Adorni in Lugano and called for "the final nail in the coffin of Kirchnerism."

President Javier Milei accompanied Manuel Adorni on a tour of Villa Lugano this Wednesday, as part of the Buenos Aires campaign for La Libertad Avanza . During the event, the president called for " putting the final nail in the coffin of Kirchnerism " and urged people to vote for his spokesperson in the May 18 elections. It was his first public campaign appearance in the city, after having recorded several spots in support of his candidate.
Although the rally was scheduled for 5:00 PM, Javier Milei arrived around 6:00 PM. Activists were waiting for him with flags and libertarian chants. In his speech, he highlighted his administration's economic achievements and linked the progress of his administration to the electoral victory in the city: " We lowered inflation , adjusted our policies, and improved salaries and pensions. If we want a great Argentina, we must vote for Manuel," he said.
Milei accompanied Manuel Adorni at an event in Lugano. The president endorsed his legislative candidate at a rally in the south of the city.
Manuel Adorni also spoke before those present and reinforced the libertarian message: "The final page of Kirchnerism is being written," he stated. His campaign had focused on the north and center of the city, where he seeks to challenge votes from the PRO. This time, he chose the south to broaden his electoral base and reach out to historically Peronist sectors.
Pilar Ramírez, president of La Libertad Avanza in Buenos Aires , emphasized the positive reception from residents in Lugano. “Our votes are cross-cutting. People felt heard. We are the only space that truly represents the popular sectors,” she stated. Ramírez led the early call, before the President's arrival.

During the event, activists sang songs that set the political tone of the meeting. One of the most repeated was: "Take the penguin out of the box so he can see that the kids have changed their minds." Critical references were also made to other opposition groups, especially Kirchnerism and the PRO party.

La Libertad Avanza sees these elections as a key opportunity to project themselves toward 2027. The goal is to displace the PRO party from the leadership of Buenos Aires and consolidate their position as the main non-Peronist force. Milei's presence made clear the importance they attach to the May result.
In the days leading up to the event, Javier Milei had already recorded campaign messages for Adorni. “ Adorni is Milei ,” they repeated from the space. This time, the endorsement was in person and included a speech. The closing was direct: “See you in Lugano. Let's paint the city purple.”
